St Peter's in the Vatican lit at night. "New" St Peter's was built in the 16th century, replacing "Old" St Peter's, which was built in the 4th century AD. It was designed by Bramante and was oversaw by such luminaries as Raphael and Michelangelo. It is the largest church in Christendom.
