Prologue

This page and the other Rome photos page get a lot of hits these days, which is cool (thanks, Alta Vista!). Drop me a line and tell me what you think of the page, the site or the photos. Go here to get back to my Travels page and access my other Italy and Rome photos.

The Colosseum from the outside. The effects of The Attack are obvious.

The remnants of (Julius) Caesar's Forum on the east side of the Via di Fiori Imperiali.

Another one. Julius Caesar had this built as an addition to the existing Roman Forum after he came to power.

The Pantheon. The 44 meter diameter dome is still the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world.

A nice shot of St Peter's. The weather the week I was there was gorgeous. The afternoon sun really lit the facade beautifully.

The Vatican's Hall of Maps. This photo tries to give an idea of it's length - it's at least 150 m long.

Back to the Attack!
